What happens if you have tried this and the teacher still is not working with you?

What are the issues and what did you do to reach out to the teacher? If you feel you have done your best and are still ignored then I suggest that you get a third party involved asap. The school counselor is a great person to go for help. If that does not work schedule a meeting with the school principal. Let me know how it goes.
